Aveyron: The Lot valley Véloroute (cycle route) is developping (29km between Bouillac and Grand-Vabre, near Conques)

Departement: Aveyron Region: Midi-Pyrénées
The Association of local authorities of the Valley of the Lot (CCVL) is creating a route of soft traffic " In the course of the Lot", element of the Lot valley Véloroute (V86), between Bouillac and Saint-Parthem (limit Grand-Vabre, in 8km of Conques), via Boisse-Penchot, Livinhac-le-Haut, Flagnac, Port-d'Agrès, St-Parthem.
This secure way of 29km, intended first and foremost for the pedestrians, the cyclists and the riders, will be situated on the left bank of the river where rural ways and forest tracks exist on 80 % of the way.
In 2016 several new paths were opened for this Véloroute: to Flagnac between the campsite and the bridge of Port d'Agrès (first section), to Saint-Parthem in left bank (improvement of forest tracks on 5km), and between Bouillac and Boisse-Penchot (5km).
5km of Véloroute are so secured between St-Martin-de-Bouillac and Boisse-Penchot, where the rural path had been improved and closed partially in the middle (creation of a " double dead end ") : that new path allows to avoid the very dangerous RD840.
